Two key factors of flexibility are stretching and strength; this class is designed to build student knowledge of each. The techniques utilized are:
Dynamic stretching: A movement pattern that is exaggerated to heighten flexibility
Static stretching: A pose is held and settled into
Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF): A pose is held, then the student resists the instructor’s pressure and relaxes deeper into the pose.

Class starts by warming up muscles for safe stretching, then poses are held using the above techniques to target splits, forward-bends, shoulder flexibility and backbends. Balance will also be a part of the curriculum to assist with standing poses and arm balances.
